Ryuutaro expected nothing else than a stare like that. From one second to another Gokudera had a boyfriend who he'd known for a year... Ryuutaro imagined that it wasn't easy to wrap your head around that, especially not with the way Hayato usually behaved.

When whoever-this-was-now entered the room and says that they can go see Hayato (and that other person) Ryuutaro immediately jumps into a standing position - in an elegant way of course.
'Stable' sounded good. He was so relieved...

The man turns and leads to two eager boys into the little hospital wing. He points to a door on the right.

"Yamamoto's in there. He's awake if you want to talk to him." then he points to another door, "Hayato's in there. He's still out cold."

Tsuna nodded, and looked to Ryuutaro with a meek little smile. "I should go check on Yamamoto... um... if you need anything... j-just let me know."

And with a little wave Tsuna goes in to see Yamamoto.

Ryuutaro nodded with a little smile and then turned to go see Hayato.
He wasn't sure what to make out of this place. Not that he wasn't used to meeting new people all the time, but this was a little too much. He'd need time to think all this over.

For the moment he just sat down at the corner of Hayato's bed, looking at him.
This was not the first time he'd seen him hurt badly, but it still felt worse.
The boy reached out, gently brushing his fingers through his boyfriends hair.
He wasn't intending on leaving this room until Hayato woke up.
Even though it was certainly discomforting to be here.

Foror the next hour or so, Gokudera shows no visible signs of improvement. He simply remains unconscious. Tsuna would pop his head in occasionally to see how both he and Ryuutaro were doing, worried about them both. Understanably so, Gokudera, despite being stable, looked like he wa sin pretty rough shape. His left hand is heavily bandaged and splinted, while the arm is bandages up to his bicep. His torso is covered with bandages, and there's an IV in his right arm. His face is scratched and scraped, and his head wrapped up... but finally... FINALLY he opens an eye groggily.

He's not completely conscious at first, it takes him a moment to really take things in and wrap his brain around what's going on. The first thing that comes to him being the ungodly brightness of the room, forcing him to close his eye again. Then, the sensation of someone gently touching his hair... it felt so nice... and calming, even though his sore and aching body, the touch felt good. He let out a content sigh and opens his eye again, looking at the source of the stroking. Ryuutaro. The corners of his lips start to twitch into a smile, but he pauses to wince a bit, it hurt to smile.

"Ryuu... taro? Please tell me I ain't dreaming." Hayato's voice cracks as he starts getting choked up, "P-please t-tell me y-you're really here..."

Ryuutaro was stuck somewhere between laughing and crying as he saw Hayato slowly regain consciousness again.
It was kind of hard to bite back the tears of relieve, but he did so. Instead he just gave his boyfriend a warm smile.

"I'm here. Really." - even though he didn't quite now how to feel about it.
Ryuutaro leans forward, placing a short kiss on Hayato's forehead. Usually this happened the other way around, but there was no better time than now to switch roles for a while.
"Welcome back."
Welcome back to what... consciousness or his own world in general was up to interpretation.

Pain or not, the teen can't keep the genuine beaming smile from his face. Everything already hurt anyway, so why couldn't he just smile? He just looked at Ryuutaro for a moment, his dull green eyes watering up, causing his silvery eyelashes to stick together. He takes in a deep shaky breath and works to move his good arm so that he can gently brush Ryuutaro's cheek with the back of his hand, completing the gesture he made before he lost consciousness- to wipe away tears that were no longer there.

"R-Ryuutaro... d-don't leave me again... p-please d-don't leave me again... I-I was afraid... I w-was afraid it was a-all a dream..."

Hearing Hayato actually say he was afraid felt strange.
But Ryuutaro knew what he was talking about. The moment he'd woken up in the Dark Nebula he'd felt the same.
When Hayato's hand went down again, Ryuutaro just took it into his.
"I'm not going to", not willingly at least. Ryuutaro didn't want to think about the possibility of them being forcefully separated, each returned to their own world for good.
"...you are my fate after all..."
And everyone knew how Ryuutaro was about fate. It was about the only thing that could keep him chained. In the beginning it had been a bit scary to actually accept the bonds with Hayato, accept to belong somewhere.
But fate had brought him there and it felt just okay to be together instead of on his own.
Finding his own place didn't necessarily mean that he had to have it all to himself. That was something he'd realized back then.
Forcefully keeping himself away and fully independent, even when being with Hayato felt better, would be a cage he'd lock himself into. And plainly just a stupid thing to do.
Ryuutaro was over that now. He'd made his choice and wouldn't let any insecurities appear now.
This was the first time he directly named Hayato as his fate instead of just saying something like 'this'.

And there was a little laugh. He couldn't get much more out due to his condition, but he was happy again. He gave Ryuutaro's hand a tight squeeze, damn he always said the corniest shit... but there was nothing Gokudera would rather hear at the moment.

"I love you so much..."

He brings Ryuutaro's hand to his lips, and kisses it. Forget the split lip and everything, he needed to just be touching Ryuutaro any way he could. It takes the teen some time to pull himself together. Recall everything that happened... where they were... and when he does, he grimaces a bit. The argument with Yamamoto, the effect it on on that fight...

"Ryuutaro... h-have you seen the Tenth? I... I need to apologize... this mess... this whole mess... with Gamma... is all my fault..."

Ryuutaro nodded slightly. The Tenth. The... miraculous Tenth. Miraculous in a way of ... how could Hayato ever see him as a hero? Then again Ryuutaro didn't really know him at all, he shouldn't be unfair.

"Yes, he's in the other room, with that boy who was with you. And that Gamma...", Ryuutaro paused for a moment, "... is apparently... dead."
Even though he was trying to sound like he was talking about things that were totally natural, it was kind of obvious that he still had no real clue about what was going on. Sure, he got it all explained, but it didn't actually make sense to him yet.

~~IS THAT JEALOUSY I SMELL RYUUTARO!?~~

"Gamma's dead?" Hayato grunted as he propped himself up on his elbow,"D-did Boss-?"

The teen's question is interrupted, by the meek presence of Tsuna, peeking through the door to make sure the couple was okay. His eyes briefly go to the two boys' interlaced hands. So the story was true... well.... Gokudera looked happy. Tsuna walked in with a smile on his face... and the company of what looked like a baby.

"Gokudera-kun! You're awake!"

Gokudera eased himself back on the bed and looked to Tsuna, his brows knit together.

"Boss... I'm sorry... I'm really sorry Boss... it's all my fault. I've been really... scared since I came to this world... I lost my temper... took it out on Yamamoto, and let something like this..."

Now it was Tsuna's turn to look concerned. Gokudera always blamed himself whenever something went wrong.

"Gokudera-kun...."

And then the baby spoke. Yup, that baby is talking and not like a baby SHOULD be talking...

"Yamamoto said the same thing. He also said many, many good things he said not to tell Gokudera." Before the surprised Gokudera could say anything, the baby continues, "He's alive and doing very well."

Tsuna smiles, glad that Gokudera had the news... of course it doesn't last long. Gokudera sinks back into his pillow and growls.

"CHE! He's still alive, that bastard!"

Hayato was glad, if it wasn't made obvious from his worrying beforehand, but of course he couldn't just convey it like a normal person. No, he had to be a dick about it. Though his grip tightened on Ryuutaro's hand just a bit. He was so relieved. Too relieved for words.

~~HE'S TOO ARROGANT FOR JEALOUSY! BUT IT MIIIIIIIIGHT BE SOMETHING SIMILIAR....~~

Ryuutaro seriously couldn't see Tsuna kill anybody, but it appeared natural that Hayato'd jump to that conclusion. With whatever he saw in that boy...
But at least he didn't need to reply as the Tenth and .... whoever was this now? came in.

Ryuutaro couldn't even bring himself to be really surprised anymore as the baby spoke up. After this day and almost two years at the Manor...

At Hayato's sudden outburst of grumpyness, Ryuutaro bites back a chuckle and just smiles at him ~~in an "I-know-what-you-actually-think"-manner~~ and brushed his thumb softly over his boyfriend's hand.

Then the fortune-teller turned his attention to the 'baby'. He was getting a bit annoyed at people unknown to him coming and going... he was just a bit too used to being the center of ...well, his world and when suddenly everything around him seemed to work so well without him it pissed him off.

"May I ask who you are now?", he smiled in the way he smiled at everyone who was not Hayato. Fake-polite and absolutely condescending when you looked behind that.

"Reborn, this idiot's home tutor." And the baby gives Tsuna a good kick in the jaw earning an 'OW!' from Tsuna. Reborn seems VERY unamused by Tsuna's reaction and continues. "Well what did you expect? You're all inexperienced, insecure, and brash leading to one disappointing mistake after another."

"Th-that's way too harsh, isn't it?!"

Despite Tsuna's attempt at arguing, Gokudera sinks a bit more on the bed. Reborn was right. And the mother of all fuck-ups was HIS fault... as if that wasn't apparent by the bandage suit he was wearing...

"But since you haven't died yet, it's fine."

Of course THAT gets both Gokudera's and Tsuna's attention... and confuses them.

"When you make such mistakes and get through them, you grow steadily. And that is your greatest weapon."

The two teens seem to buy it. Gokudera relaxes. If Reborn felt that his flaw had a purpose he would believe him, but he still needed to push himself to his limits later to make up for it. His grip tightened on Ryuutaro's hand. The teen knew he had more than just his boss and the Vongola to protect. He wouldn't let anything happen to Ryuutaro. It wasn't fair to him. He had been sucked into Gokudera's home-world at the worst possible time, if he got hurt because of it? Gokudera could already feel Ryuutaro was uncomfortable. He could have figured that out without even waking up. Everything was out of Ryuutaro's element. They were trapped and confined, their lives were in danger, there was a big foreign crowd of people he didn't know. The teen casts a worried, apologetic glance at Ryuutaro and gave his hand another squeeze. He would apologize to him when they got another moment alone.

'Home tutor'. A baby. Oh, well, whatever.

Ryuutaro silently listened to the rest of the conversation, almost visibly tensing up when Reborn insulted Hayato like that. Even if he was right, Ryuutaro hated to hear somebody else than him say it. But as the situation solved itself peacefully, he decided not to comment on it at all.

At Hayato's worried look Ryuutaro feels comforted a bit - and also the need to roll his eyes, which he resisted.
Alright, he was extremely uncomfortable and disliked this place to no end, but he wasn't going to let that affect him too much. He'd just try to act as if being here was the most natural thing to him. That seemed like the best way of dealing with it.

The fortune-teller just smiles at his boyfriend, waiting for... whatever crazy thing would happen next.

And crazy is exactly what is going to happen next.

The man called Hibari steps in, asking for a word. Four people in the room... the saying goes 'three's a crowd'... he is already displeased with this room... and everyone in it. However he's interrupted by a short stout man peeking in.

"Pardon my intrusion but I have some good news! Master Fuuta and Miss Bianchi have returned from their information gathering! They're on their way here as we speak!"

Well the reaction from the two boys is one of shock, but while Tsuna cries out a surprised "Fuuta?!", Gokudera lets out a somewhat more horrified "S-sis?!"... his heart-rate on the monitor begins picking up...

Tsuna casts an 'I am so sorry' glance in the teens direction, while Gokudera's face could only be described as someone just watching Godzilla approaching to lay waste to the city and being powerless to do ANYTHING. When Bianchi wanted to go somewhere... she went there, and there was no stopping her. That didn't stop Hayato from giving Ryuutaro an 'oh god please help me' look, which he knew would be in vain. No one has successfully stop an advance from Bianchi before...

When the room was getting crowded, it really did nothing to make Ryuutaro feel any more at home or any less pissed off.

At the mentioning of Bianchi he immediately looked up. Of all things to happen... Watching Hayato'd heartbeat at a monitor clearly didn't make this better.
And apparently that 'Tenth' wasn't going to do anything about it. Ryuutaro got up, giving the people around a poisonous smile.
"Doubtlessly, everything you have to discuss is of extreme importance, but to my knowledge this is still a sickroom. How about you all get out and actually let Hayato get some rest? Tell that to Bianchi-san as well.
Rest doesn't equal falling back into unconsciousness after all."
As he ended Ryuutaro let his fan snap shut sharply.
Maybe these people were dangerous mafia and what-not, but he was still himself.

Tsuna nods, maybe if everyone LEFT the room, Bianchi wouldn't see a reason to go in. Tsuna immediately starts trying to frantically push people out of the room... but too late.

Bianchi BURSTS into the room very dramatically, per usual. With a rush of adrenalin Hayato actually managed to sit himself up and scramble to the edge of the bed before there's the tell-tale sound of his stomach gurgling- and then the inevitable crash as he topples off the bed... though his legs still remain on it.

Of course his sister isn't phased by this at all, she makes a B-line for Reborn and starts hugging him... she may not even realize this is her brother's room. Hibari on the other hand isn't as cheerful. As Tsuna flails to try to get everyone to leave Hibari takes out his tonfa and holds them up to Tsuna's face.

"Crowd any more people in here and I will bit you to death."

And as if RIGHT ON CUE Fuuta peeks into the room, cheerful as ever. Hibari looks at Tsuna, who is frozen in fear, and just pops him on in the eye with his tonfa then proceeds to storm out of the room. Tsuna, who is now the proud owner of a black eye, continues trying to get everyone out of the room.

... what was even wrong with all those people? Ryuutaro knew deep in his mind that people from his world would maybe be the same, but this wasn't his world and that certainly made it worse.

Ryuutaro takes a deep breath and looks at the chaos around him. Good, at least that Hibari-man was gone. The fortune-teller walks over to Bianchi and Reborn, pointing his fan at them.
"Maybe you want to continue this outside? I'm sure there's plenty of other rooms in this place."

Then moves back to Hayato, because he looked like he could use some help. That... didn't seem comfortable. But not without giving Tsuna an 'I though these were your people'-kind of smile for just a moment.

Tsuna can only return Ryuutaro's look with an exasperated, apologetic look. at the very least he manages to get Fuuta and Reborn out of the room, but Bianchi... well, Bianchi does whatever she damn-well pleases... and she was certainly surprised to see Ryuutaro again.

She walks over to help Ryuutaro get Hayato back on the bed... uncaring that this was her fault to begin with... and also very, very, very used to this situation.

"I wasn't expecting to see you again... how has Hayato been?" The tone implies a 'today not withstanding'.

"Until we came here things have been alright", Ryuutaro replied, brushing through Hayato's hair as they place him on the bed again, "And speaking of that, if anything this conversation should probably be continued outside. He needs rest."
Ryuutaro smiled, really hoping to get Bianchi out of this room as well. Being here really reminded him of the reason he traveled alone. Groups were so... unbearable sometimes.

She smiles at Ryuutaro and leans forward to give him a hug.

"You take good care of my poor weak baby brother. I need to go give my report to Tsunayoshi."

And she lets him go waving before she goes to send terror into the heart of Tsuna. It doesn't take too long after she leaves for Gokudera's stomach to stop gurgling and he begins to stir.

Hugs. Ryuutaro didn't like them. At all. Hayato was an exception, everyone else should stay out of his private space bubble. Way outside of it.
But at least Bianchi was out now. Ryuutaro sighed as he sat down next to Hayato again.
"...are you alright?"

~~BIANCHI DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOUR OR HAYATO'S SPACE BUBBLES. EVER. YOU'RE FAMILY. SUCK IT UP RYUUTARO.~~

Hayato opened his eyes and let out a sigh... the phantom pain and nausea fading away.

"Yeah, I'm alright... thanks..."

He smiles and pushes himself up enough to prop on his elbows.... Ryuutaro's make-up was smudged from the crying... he could even see traces of pink on the boy's hands from wiping away the tears. It broke his heart that he had caused Ryuutaro so much pain... but at the same time... he had never had someone cry for him before... he was touched. He reached out to takes Ryuutaro's small, soft hand and gives it a squeeze. They had made it... Ryuutaro must have been scared, hell knows Hayato was. But now they were together again, and alone. It was a calm peaceful moment, just relishing in the fact that Ryuutaro was there, that is until he notices the bloody state of Ryuutaro's clothes.

"Hey... I got an old yukata in my room... it's nothin' fancy... but it should hold you over until yours are cleaned..."

It felt good to be alone with Hayato like that. All the other people here just annoyed Ryuutaro and confused him, which wasn't a good combination.

Upon Hayato's words he smiled. "That sounds good, thank you. I'm going to go there later."
Not now because he certainly didn't want to run into everyone they just got rid of again.

With a grunt Hayato pushes himself up into a sitting position. Thanks to the treatment with the sun flames he was recovering faster then a person normally should... however his everything still hurt like a bitch, which was probably evident in how he's suddenly broken out in a sweat and breathing faster. It's just pain though... seriously... HE HAS HAD WORSE.

Once sat up, he reaches his hand to Ryuutaro's cheek, and smiles.

"You were real brave back there. If you hadn't distracted Gamma long enough for Hibari to get to us..."

Well... he didn't need to go into details on that. Ryuutaro knew what would have happened... he must have been scared. Hayato leans to gently kiss Ryuutaro for a moment(couldn't do much else with that split lip unfortunately)

"Thanks."

Thinking back to that situation Ryuutaro shivered. Scared wasn't even a word for what he'd felt. But it was over, he did it and that was amazing.
Ryuutaro smiled at Hayato as they broke apart.
"You're welcome", he replied quietly and affectionately, "Even though it was only natural."
The fortune-teller let his hand run through Hayato's hair once again.
"I'm glad you're awake now...."

Yes, he really was scared.
