After just another moment the life returned into Ryuutaro's eyes. He gasped for breath shortly, but his breathing stabilized soon after.

He looked up at Hayato and instead of what he'd seen there was one thought pushing itself in front of that.
So easy, it was so easy, so easy to see again.
If this was it, if he was to stay here, did the Author... did she give him back what she had taken?
Could he finally.. finally... be complete again?

"I... ", he started, almost not daring to say it out loud, "I... This... I'm so glad."
He'd start analyzing the vision once he had actually brought himself to believe it.

Hayato just held him there, so clueless as to what was going on... but he was happy? Hayato in his relief just wrapped his arms around his boyfriend and let his face flop on onto Ryuutaro's shoulder.

"oh god you scared the shit outta me...." He looks up again, "I though you were havin' a heart attack or somethin'..."

Ryuutaro was amazed at just how much Hayato had worried. Actually he didn't know what it looked like for the outside world in those moments he traveled to the future. He remembered a few occasions on which it had happened in front of other people, but nobody had ever really told him what it was like. Some people had been more worried, some less, it depended on the length of the vision, too.

Ryuutaro reached out to brush through Hayato's hair, but not the thought of what he just unintentionally send his boyfriend through could stop him from feeling excited.

"You should get used to that", he said quietly, "If... if she's... really given it back to me, this should happen a bit more often."

"What exactly... was that? What did she-"

And then it hit him, the one thing that had caused him such trouble about the manor, his visions. A bit smile spreads across Gokudera's face and he laughs excitedly.

"You mean... you can...?"

Ryuutaro nodded, smiling brightly.

"I can! One vision might not be proof that she's given me back my full power, but judging from how... easily it came. I think I've finally got it back."
He laughed, sounding happy and still a bit disbelieving.
"Thank goodness..."
It was good that he was just with Hayato and nobody else, so he could show his emotions as clearly as he only could with the one he trusted.

And he pulls Ryuutaro into another hug. It was so amazing that just a few moments ago he was so so sad... almost broken, and now here he was smiling, and laughing even. With Ryuutaro wrapped tightly in his arms he falls backwards, to that Ryuutaro is laying on top of him. He lets go from the hug with one arm to happily stroke through his lover's hair. It was moment like this that made everything worthwhile...

"You have no idea how good it is to see you like this again..."

Ryuutaro let out a little startled noise as he was pulled backwards, but overall there were absolutely no complaints regarding this new position.
He made himself comfortable and now that he already was situated on top of Hayato he had no intentions of getting up anytime soon.

For a few minutes he said nothing, just enjoying the moment, but sooner or later he had to bring up the actual subject.

"I have no idea what that meant though... it does probably make more sense to you, this is your world after all."

He doesn't respond right away, preferring to nuzzle his nose against Ryuutaro.
He laughs a little and starts playing with Ryuutaro's hair.

"Alright, tell me. What was your vision?"

Ryuutaro closed his eyes for a moment, calling the images back into his mind.
"At first there was a big round machine... There were quite a few gear wheels, it looked simple yet complicated. And in the inside of the machine..."
Ryuutaro paused. He wasn't used to not understanding the meaning of his visions, but this seemed extremely important.
"There was you and others... some of those I've met here. You were all older though... adults now. But I couldn't see it clearly. I didn't get a real chance to look for long either, because there was a young man with slightly curly hair and glasses who appeared in front of it and whose presence ... seemed to be pushing me out."

Ryuutaro couldn't really make sense out of any of this, but it seemed important. The boy hoped that it wouldn't take him too long to learn understand the way this world's fate felt, looked, communicated.
At least it had let him him, offered him to see. His sixth sense was back, he was complete again. He was still beloved by fate.

"Irie Soichi?"

Hayato's face goes from playful and carefree to perplexed and serious. He saw Soichi... some machines... their future selves...

the versions of themselves that belonged to this era...

Hayato sits up taking Ryuutaro with him on his lap, his eyes have gone wide at the sudden realization of what Ryuutaro had seen. There was only one way the puzzle could fit together....

And Hayato grabs either side of Ryuutaro's face and just passionately slams his lips into his boyfriend's. When he pulls back he's scrambles to his feet, half carrying Ryuutaro with him, and with a great big smile on his face gives Ryuutaro a great big hug, spinning him around sweeping his feet right off the floor. Laughing so hard he actually couldn't form the words to tell Ryuutaro just what he saw.

Ryuutaro had figured it out, he didn't know he had, but he had discovered how they would get home.

He really had the most amazing boyfriend.

Ryuutaro stumbled onto his feet, barely proccessing what was even going on with Hayato anymore. Just a moment ago he'd been so serious and now-... Well, he'd known that he'd seen something important, but now he seriously wondered what justified this kind of reaction?
Ryuutaro let out a startled yelp as he was lifted off the ground. The boy stared at Hayato in disbelieve.
He was aware he knew lots of sides to this boy that other's didn't, but just... what... was this?
Not that he minded seeing him that happy, not at all. It was fantastic. And really confusing.
Ryuutaro waited until Hayato had calmed down again, before he dared to ask the very important question.

"Care to fill me in on what exactly this all means?"

After a few more moments of laughter, some more kisses, and a big tight hug, Hayato finally separated enough to look Ryuutaro in the eye, and place his hands on his shoulders.

"Ryuutaro, THAT'S what's keeping us here! That how we got stuck in the future! It's gotta be!"

He pulls Ryuutaro into another tight hug. Oh how scared he had been that they were going to be stuck here in this strange hostile future.

"That machine is how we're goin' to get back home! And we know who has it! Thank you Ryuutaro... thank you so much..."

Ryuutaro finally found it in him to hug Hayato back, finally understanding the reason for his outburst.
So this was the clue for everything to turn... as normal as it could be in this world, which he was supposed to live in now? That was good news.
A smile spread over Ryuutaro's face as well.

"I didn't do anything than speak of what's already there", he chuckled. For him it was actually simple after all, always had been, even though after the years at the Manor it felt so much more like a gift again.

He just remains there in silence for a moment, savoring the moment of relief, and holding his totally amazing boyfriend! After giving his boyfriend one more squeeze he pulls away and takes Ryuutaro's hand in his own.

"Come on, we gotta tell the boss! He'll know what to do!"

...more appropriately Reborn will know what to do and Tsuna will just react.

Ryuutaro still does have his doubts - a lot of them - about Tsuna's competence, but it's not like you could ever bring that up in front of Hayato. Nor did he even want to for what was the use?
So he just nodded elegantly.
"Alright."
Hopefully this would help to make them get out of this hideout sometime soon.

And Hayato is simply beaming down the hallway, a great weight simply lifted off his shoulders and it was all thanks to Ryuutaro.

He couldn't help but think of everything that they could do back in his time. He would have to go to school again... it would probably be urged for Ryuutaro to go too but... he really couldn't imagine Ryuutaro in a school setting. Might be able to convince him to try on the uniform at some point though, he would look pretty cute. Though he did worry about what Ryuutaro would do the days he was at school... it's not like people would take someone his age wandering through the streets while school was in session. Maybe the Vongola could find something to do? Like with his fortune telling? If Ryuutaro wanted to of course, though he would probably get paid for it, would make living a bit easier... he had enough troubles making ends meet just living alone. Of course if Ryuutaro didn't want to, Hayato was sure he could find a part time job or something to try and make up the difference, but that would mean more time away from his boyfriend.

And then something dawned on him and he just lit up even more!

"We should go on a date." Hayato pauses when he realizes just how out of the blue that sounded to anyone who couldn't read his mind, "When we get back I mean."

At Hayato's voice Ryuutaro snapped out of his own thoughts about what he could do with his life in this world. He should work on his illusions and 'magic' more... it would probably become useful in many ways - both when working (the idea of not working as a fortune-teller anymore didn't even occur him) and when unexpected situations happened.

"That sounds good", Ryuutaro smiled, "Really good."

"Where do you want to go? We could do Italian! O-or Japanese! The baseball idiot's dad-" He pauses and looks off the the side for just a fraction of a moment. Yamamoto's dad was dead in this time... but he would be fine in the past... he perks up again, trying to play off his pause like it was nothing, "His dad owns a sushi shop, they got real good stuff! Or maybe we can try makin' somethin' ourselves and eat in!"

Hayato walks in front of Ryuutaro taking both his boyfriend's hands in his own, but walking backwards so that they can keep moving. He was excited. The day that they got to go home couldn't come soon enough. He's smiling and laughing until he runs into someone with an 'oof'! And low and behold-

A wild Yamamoto has appeared! And looking as cheerful as ever, once he got over the surprise of running into Hayato and... oh! The elusive boyfriend he had yet to meet. Well, as casually as ever, he leaned an arm on Hayato's shoulder... and of course Hayato's mood does it's usual 180 and he looks like he's about ready to start kicking kittens.

"Oh hey! You must be Hayato's boyfriend! I don't think we've met!" And he holds his hand out to shake Ryuutaro's.

"It's Gokudera idiot!"

That moment in which Hayato's face turns from smiling to completely pissed was still indescribable to Ryuutaro. It happened so fast and looked so odd.
But at the moment Ryuutaro rather focused on Yamamoto. He remembered him from that day in the forest. He remembered a bit too well, especially the fact that he had been ready to let this boy die if it somehow meant he and Hayato could get out alive. Ryuutaro pushed the thought aside.

His facial expression turned into his signature smirk and he opened his fan.
"Fukami Ryuutaro. It's a pleasure to meet you."
And completely opposed to his words, he blatantly ignored the hand offered to him. Not about to touch strangers.

Yamamoto seems confused by the lack of acknowledgement of his gesture, but shrugs it off. No skin off his back. He's just going to keep smiling... and turn his attention back to Hayato for a moment... because good lord that face cannot be ignored any longer.

"Nice to meet you too! So Hayato-"

"Gokudera."

"How old are you exactly now? I mean... they said you got pulled in some weird time thing right?"

The teen growled, it was a stupid question, "Well considering no time passed here, I'm still fifteen idiot."

"C'mon you know what I mean~"

Hayato sighed and rolled his eyes. "Almost seventeen, happy? Now get the fuck off, I don't need you hangin' off me like a friggin' shoulder monkey!"

And with that he FINALLY pushes Yamamoto off, who just laughs. This was an everyday thing after all. It was refreshing to have a bit of normalcy after being in the hospital wing for two weeks. It was pretty nice to meet a new face too, a friendly one anyway. He folds his arms behind his head and turns back to Ryuutaro, almost laughing.

"Is he always like this with you too?"

"go to hell!"

Ryuutaro watched the little exchange carefully. He was fairly sure that he'd get to see it a lot in the future. Hayato sure knew a lot of people here. Even if his relationship with them didn't seem to be the best at most cases, he was an important part of this group for sure.

And then he blinked at the mere idea of Hayato treating him like this. As if. If that had been the case, so many things would've gone completely different between them.
Ryuutaro chuckled his mysterious ~~kinda-evil-girl-ish~~ trademark-chuckle, closing the fan to fanshush himself with the sweetest of smiles.
"Of course not."
He wanted to say something more, something to make very sure how special he was to Hayato, but he figured he shouldn't do that when the object of talking was right next to him.
So he turned to focus his attention on his boyfriend again.
"So if you're fifteen again, that almost makes us same age now. That's quite a bit odd, I have to say."
Though... not being so much younger than his boyfriend wasn't so bad.

Hayato pauses in his little bitchfit at Yamamoto to look at Ryuutaro a bit surprised. Yeah... that would mean they're only a few months apart now. Hayato was still a bit older though... it would have been just too odd if Ryuutaro was suddenly older then him.

"Yeah we are, aren't we?" He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck, at first he thought the de-aging would be annoying, he was physically 17 after all... but this made it a bit more bearable,"I guess bein' 15 again ain't so bad then."

Yamamoto looked from Ryuutaro to Gokudera and back again in surprise. Gokudera really DID act different with him. Really different. Like how he would act with Tsuna different.

"How old are you, Fukami-kun?"

Ryuutaro closed his fan as he replied.
"I'll be fifteen in a while. Though I can't really tell when because we traveled through a few dates. I'm just going with my actual birthday."
Which reminded him that he didn't even know which date they currently had in this world. It could be basically anything, with the way their time-travel-magic worked.
And when they got back to Hayato's actual time, it could be another again for all he knew.
Odd enough that didn't even startle Ryuutaro anymore.
