When Hayato found himself back in his world, alone, he naturally had written off what happened at the manor as a dream... but at the same time... he couldn’t help but feel the pangs of heartbreak. He felt stupid for falling for something that had to have been a dream.... but the idea of having someone that loved him for just being him... it... it was too good to be true... but didn’t matter now. He had to push his feelings aside. His future self had failed the Tenth, now he was in the future with his boss to try to prevent this from happening. But it wasn’t easy, the Vongola were being hunted for their Vongola rings by the Millefiore family. While he didn't want to admit it... he was scared. He had already failed the Tenth once, he was in this strange foreign world where there was a price on his head, and to top it all off he had lost the boy who loved him.... naturally his mood had taken a SPECIAL turn south. He had already lashed out on Yamamoto a few times. Now him and the baseball idiot were screwed into an all knew lifetime because he lost his temper. One of the Millefiore generals had engaged them in a fight, Yamamoto was down, and now Hayato was being toyed with by Gamma. The man had him pinned on the ground, stepping on his hand until their was a sickening crack. Hayato screamed in agony but refused to say a word... he would gladly die for his boss’s sake. This was all his fault to begin with. If he hadn’t acted out... if his future self hadn’t failed his boss....

"What did happen last time?", he inquired silently.
And especially why didn't he want anybody else to hear about it? Weren't these people kind of supposed to be informed about the things the others did?
Then again, Ryuutaro knew nothing about the mafia. Having grown up in the yakuza didn't help, because when he was little his father kept him out of business for the most part and later he simply didn't care.
no subject
He continues down the hall, until they hit what looks like some sort of a library, it was sort of Gokudera's little hide out... well no little, it was quite a spacious room, which may in part be why he chose to bring Ryuutaro here.
"I don't have Uri or the Systema C.A.I. yet. What's weird, is that I can't remember how I figured out the Systema C.A.I... at all."
He runs a hand though his hair a bit irritably, he didn't want to have to figure it out from scratch though.
"I do remember I blew this room to shreds though..."
no subject
"So... we're in some sort of time paradox then? Other than the time paradox this world is already in anyway."
Fan suddenly in his free hand, he opened it slowly and thoughtfully.
"It's... not too surprising, I suppose. Not after all the things we've seen..."
Thinking about it, Ryuutaro remembered a thing that had been slightly bothering him when they were at his world. At the Manor he hadn't been panicing about Reiji, even though technically he should have. He didn't recall living through the same thing twice or anything, but it was weird.
no subject
"This whole thing is pretty messed up ain't it?"
He slowly eases himself down on a chair, and lets out a sigh of relief. While he wouldn't say it out loud he was still sore and in quite a bit of pain, however that doesn't stop him from puling Ryuutaro onto his lap and wrapping his arms around the boy.
"You know... it's been almost two weeks since I had seen you..."
He nuzzles his face up against Ryuutaro's, trying to make up for lost time.
no subject
The boy let his arms loosely hand over Hayato's shoulders and looked at the other.
Two weeks was a lot of time to start thinking the Manor had never been real in first place. Again Ryuutaro had to think of the possibility that one of them... or both... got returned to his original world for real. Alone.
But that wouldn't happen, would it? The Author seemed to like getting people together, she wouldn't separate them like that, would she?
And if they were home... would they believe that they just dreamed the other? Would they try to forget? Ryuutaro didn't want to think about it.
"I'm here now...", he said quietly, "Those two weeks are over."
no subject
He had begun to close himself off again, actively driving people away... and he had fallen back into arguably his worst habit: recklessly endangering his own life.
But that didn't matter now. Ruutaro was here, and he promised he wouldn't leave again. And while Hayato cared deeply for his boss, and wanted to do everything he could for the Vongola... he really needed this moment alone with his boyfriend.
"Thank god... I missed you so much..."
He tilts Ryuutaro's head up by his chin, and gently begins kissing him.
no subject
It felt good to be together like this. Right now the only thing mattering was them, Ryuutaro could just forget about this strange world for a moment. He was sure the familiarity was reassuring to both of them.
He opened his mouth a bit, letting the kiss deepen further.
Not leaving Hayato proved to be more difficult than thought when time was messed with like that. But he could at least try to make up for the times he wasn't there.
no subject
This honestly just felt so nice. Ryuutaro was always so soft and warm, and all around just pleasant to touch.
Of course these sweet, lovely moments could never last. Of course Hayato is too preoccupied to notice a very familiar Doctor leaning in the doorway rather unamused... that is until he speaks.
"So Hayato, how long did you think you were going to get out of intensive care?"
And the poor teen practically jumps out of his skin, reluctantly separating from his boyfriend. His faces is VERY flushes, and he was slightly breathless from the kiss.
"Sh-shamal?! Wha... why...." he regains his composure and his usual attitude, "The fuck are you doin here?! PISS OFF!"
no subject
Naturally they wouldn't get even as much as five intimate minutes without getting interrupted.
Ryuutaro twitched at the sound of a voice in the doorway.
As they separated the first thing he did was give Shamal an annoyed look while catching his breath and before putting on his usual smile.
Then his look went back to Hayato. His facial expression was priceless, but that wasn't enough to make up for the interruption.
"I'm still not taking responsibility for the break-put", he commented silently.
no subject
He motions for Gokudera to come over to him... to which Gokudera simply replies by flipping him off.
"Alright how about this, if you can walk over here I'll leave you alone, hm?"
Gokudera looks at Ryuuatro in a 'well it's better then going back to the hospital wing' and gives his boyfriend a little apologetic peck on the cheek. Reluctantly he lets Ryuutaro get off his lap, and slowly he pushes himself up out of his chair and shakily makes his way to Shamal.
"There I made will you fuck o-OW! YOU COCK SUCKING SUNNUNA BITCH! THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
Unfortunately the SECOND Gokudera had come into reach, Shamal had dug his fingers into the pressure point right on the collar bone. Which Gokudera was now trying pry away.
"Well I didn't think you were going to cooperate otherwise. Come on, lets get you back to the hospital, your little friend there can come."
Shamal starts trying to lead Gokudera away, but naturally he's resisting. "Got o fucking hell! I'm not going to back to that shithole! Dammit get off me you smell like cheep booze!"
Shamal merely rolled his eyes, completely ignoring the booze statement. "Then let's get you back to your room."
"I don't wanna! Just piss the fuck off! I want to stay here!"
Well, that caught him a bit off guard. Usually Hayato would somewhat go along with him, if he let him have his privacy. Of course he's oblivious to the fact that Hayato was avoiding his own room because he knew the tight space would eventually bother Ryuutaro. The doctor sighs and let's the teen go, ruffling up his hair affectionately... which Gokudera seems far from pleased about.
"Alright, alright, just lay down at least, you're sister will kill me if something happens to you Hayato. I'll bring a blanket and some pillows..."
The teen grumbled something along the lines of 'I hope she does', before hobbling his way back over to Ryuutaro. And this is why Gokudera hates his first name. People like Shamal keep calling him by it. Granted Shamal was the closest thing he had to a father, being the family Doctor and all... still, Hayato couldn't stand the guy....
no subject
And it was good to see a doctor take care of Hayato somewhat, so Ryuutaro got over his annoyance of being interrupted.
While Hayato's back turned to him he gave the doctor a little smile, even though he knew he might as well have not done so. It wouldn't have made a difference.
This wasn't his world, he could feel it clearly with every moment he spent here and it didn't feel good.
As the conversation went back to the subject of Hayato's room the fortune-teller knew only too well why his boyfriend was opposed to it. As much as he appreciated the care, he still was a bit iffy about it. No matter how long they'd be together the 'I'm fine, believe me'-thing was a constant part of their relationship.
His claustrophobia was just a bit of a touchy subject for the boy.
"Is getting some more rest really that a bit idea?", he smiled as Hayato arrived at his side again.
no subject
Hayato grumbles for a moment about the 'stupid womanizing drunk' and fixes his hair and before leaning on Ryuutaro again. It felt good to have someone support some of his weight, he let out a content sigh as he leaned his face against Ryuutaro's, nuzzling it again.
"Well, you heard him. I gotta lay down..."
And that... is Hayato actually LISTENING to someone other than the Tenth, and of course Ryuutaro. He looks around the room for a little nook that they can retreat to, and leads Ryuutaro to a private little corner. He eases himself down, and pulls Ryuutaro next to him, he closes his eyes and gets all close and comfortable up next to his boyfriend. This was just how he wanted to be. A little smile spreads across his face.
no subject
Hayato seemed pretty uncaring about the fact that Shamal was going to come back and so was Ryuutaro. Even though his manners would technically forbid him to show many affections in public, at the moment he was kind of glad about it. All the (this world in particular) could see that they belonged together and that was good.
The fortune-teller gently let his hand brush through Hayato's hair, smiling as well.
I smell a few days of timeskip in the future~
"Ti amo Ryuutaro..."
It's a nice smell, for sure~
Then Ryuutaro just went on to pet Hayato's head and listened to the sound of his breath as it calmed down.
He wasn't feeling tired and even if he had been, he wouldn't have bee able to sleep anyway.
It was good to see Hayato rest like this though... Watching people sleep was considered sleepy, wasn't it? But then again, Hayato'd done the same, so this was just some kind of sweet revenge.
SOON~ it shall come when you least expect it~
In about ten minutes or so Shamal comes back with the pillow and blanket. He's unaware Ryuutaro is awake at first, and covers up the boys. It's not until he goes to move the boys' heads that he sees Ryuutaro is awake.
"Oh hey there." He settles on simply lifting Gokudera's head and tucking the pillow underneath, "Don't think I caught your name, kiddo."
Alright, I'll wait for iiiit~
"It's Fukami Ryuutaro" -and very certainly not 'kiddo'.
If he had to ask this question that probably meant Tsuna hadn't explained things to him. Did that mean Ryuutaro'd have to start the explanation all over again?
Once Shamal is done patronizing Ryuutaro, because this is amusing >w>
"Well it's nice to meet you Ryuutaro."
He smirks and looks down at the sleeping Hayato.
"You must be something special to get this little brat so enthralled with you. He's a real pain in the ass you know."
And he nudges the sleeping teen playfully, to which his response is a half-asleep cuss in Italian, before nuzzling closer to Ryuutaro. He doesn't have to be awake to cuss the doctor out.
Yush >D
And, yes, he was special, thanks for noticing and yes, Hayato could be quite annoying. But Shamal wasn't allowed to say that. He just wasn't allowed to talk badly about Ryuutaro's boyfriend.
"I am aware that he's rushing things a bit from time to time, but you shouldn't say it like that", Ryuutaro smirked, "It can be very easy to get along with him."
For him himself at least.
no subject
"Well, he's not as bad as he used to be. You should have seen him as a kid. Kept running into the middle of everything waving around dynamite without a clue how to use it. I'm surprised he made it out with all his limbs, never mind fingers."
Which is some minor fishing about the strange scar he found on Hayato's leg. Even if the boy doesn't say anything outright, his reaction to the question should give him enough of a reason to pester Hayato about it later.
no subject
But Ryuutaro could only imagine too well what happened afterwards.
At the mention of limbs he twitches, another memory floating back in his mind. One that he'd rather forget about. But he forced the smile to stay on his face. He was sure Hayato wouldn't appreciate if he told people about that. But he holds his boyfriend just a bit tighter.
"Yes, that is kind of amazing."
no subject
"You know, back in Italy, he would always pretend to be hurt so he could come see me and swipe the dynamite out of my coat."
Yup, Shamal here is the one that got Hayato hooked up with dynamite. He chuckles a bit.
"He's a good kid. Take care of him, alright? I'd hate to see him fall back to the way he used to be."
no subject
Ryuutaro smiled a small, but very confident smile, which got brighter (and more fake) again when he reached the end of his words.
It always felt good to mention destiny. It was a habit he'd almost been forced to half-way give up on during his time in the Manor. (It was an odd thing how the Manor had taken so many things he loved away from him, but almost completely made up for it by giving him Hayato.)
TIMESKIP TEIMS~
"Get some rest kiddo."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And in about a week, Hayato had made a rapid recovery, as had Yamamoto... and FINALLY both were given the okay to get out of bed... well officially. Hayato had been out of bed pretty much from the moment he woke up, but he had been good about staying with Ryuutaro in the library. He rather enjoyed their little hideaway. It was filled with reading and research material, spacious enough to work on his dynamite, and private enough to spend some... erm... quality intimate time with his boyfriend (hey, two weeks without his boyfriend... the MOMENT everything stopped hurting when he moved he jumped Ryuutaro so fast....) and now Hayato and Ryuutaro were comfortably in the kitchen eating breakfast.
no subject
He still didn't like this world, but over the days it became endurable.
It wasn't that different from the Manor, if he came to think of it. Just that the people here all knew each other in contrary to be randomly mixed together.
But the longer Ryuutaro stayed the more he knew as well, so everything was getting better.
This morning the fortune-teller was actually kind of content.
"Over a week has passed. Looks like we're staying here a little longer."
Or the weird case of him actually getting stuck in Hayato's world had become reality.
Would Ryuutaro like to have a vision~?!
NATURALLY HE DOES; HOW CAN YOU EVEN ASK? XD Also, lol, novel tag
\o/ pulls things together for vision references~
