When Hayato found himself back in his world, alone, he naturally had written off what happened at the manor as a dream... but at the same time... he couldn’t help but feel the pangs of heartbreak. He felt stupid for falling for something that had to have been a dream.... but the idea of having someone that loved him for just being him... it... it was too good to be true... but didn’t matter now. He had to push his feelings aside. His future self had failed the Tenth, now he was in the future with his boss to try to prevent this from happening. But it wasn’t easy, the Vongola were being hunted for their Vongola rings by the Millefiore family. While he didn't want to admit it... he was scared. He had already failed the Tenth once, he was in this strange foreign world where there was a price on his head, and to top it all off he had lost the boy who loved him.... naturally his mood had taken a SPECIAL turn south. He had already lashed out on Yamamoto a few times. Now him and the baseball idiot were screwed into an all knew lifetime because he lost his temper. One of the Millefiore generals had engaged them in a fight, Yamamoto was down, and now Hayato was being toyed with by Gamma. The man had him pinned on the ground, stepping on his hand until their was a sickening crack. Hayato screamed in agony but refused to say a word... he would gladly die for his boss’s sake. This was all his fault to begin with. If he hadn’t acted out... if his future self hadn’t failed his boss....

Hng... he needed... to do things. Food... shower... make sure organs still worked. Sort of just wanted to go back to sleep though... still tired... well not tired... but groggy. Headache from sleeping so long...
Mmmm... boyfriend. Where was boyfriend? Boyfriend so much better at morning things than him...
...was it even still morning? Uguuh he had no idea...

Luckily enough he returned to the parlor only a few minutes after Hayato had woken up, immediately smiling as he saw his boyfriend in a state that you could possibly call something close to awake.
"Ah, Hayato, welcome back in the world of consciousness."
Ryuutaro stepped over to kiss his forehead lightly.
no subject
"G'mornin..." He paused for a moment, "...is it mornin'?"
Important question that.
no subject
"Not... quite."
Ryuutaro opened his fan casually.
"If I'm truthful then it's not even quite close to morning anymore."
no subject
And he stretched his arms up, cracking his back... that felt good. Right... he should get ready for things now... like... being awake.
"I'm gonna take a shower quick, kay?" Like he ever took any other kind of shower, "Should probably eat... and... do things..."
While part of him wanted to ask if Ryuutaro to join him, the other boy was obviously all ready for the day... and it had been a while since they had been TOGETHER... and getting a boner in a public shower would be REALLY awkward...

And there were chances that the water would wake Hayato up for good. As cute as the morning-braindead-Hayato could be, in this place Ryuutaro preferred the awake version.
While he'd come to terms with being here and managed quite well on his own, Hayato's awake company was still better than that.

And went off to get his clothes from his room and headed to the showers. It was quick, but he did take a bit longer than usual. The hot water felt good on his sore and aching muscles. When he got out, he didn't pay any mind to his injuries as usual- it wasn't like it was something easily treatable anyway. Just a large set of black bruises and mostly internal burns from the electric-like thunder flames. Luckily his clothes covered most of the injuries anyway.
Heading back to the parlor he spotted Ryuutaro, and a smile spread across his face as he rushed over to scoop him up in his arms for a surprise kiss.
"Tesoro!"
no subject
So Ryuutaro just smiled and chuckled, wrapping his arms around Hayato softly.
"Feeling more awake now?" He should probably say good morning again, considering how asleep Hayato had been until a while ago...
no subject
"Much, thanks."
And he pressed another kiss to Ryuutaro's lips as he set the boy back on his feet, but still remained close so he could keep those arms around him. The fights were over for now. While he knew he would have to try and open the new Vongola box... they were probably going to get a few days to rest and recover.
"How are things? I... guess I've been out for a while, huh?"
no subject
As unpleasant as it might be for Ryuutaro to be alone at this foreign place, he understood how badly his boyfriend needed the rest. And it wasn't like he could not manage on his own.
"I'm settling in though, I think."
Or something like this. At least he didn't feel horribly misplaced anymore and it was easier to act as usually, walk like he owned the universe, even when he didn't.
no subject
"I'm glad."
And he nuzzles his face up against the younger boy's for a moment. They were going to be okay. A shout from down the hall catches the teen's attention though, and he pulls back from Ryuutaro to look. Well, the commotion didn't seem to be headed their way, so with a brief look back to Ryuutaro, he took the boy's hands and started to walk towards it.
Unfortunately Gokudera didn't get a good look, because as soon as he turned the corner his stomach let out a gurgle in protest before he made some sort of chocking noise before he just passed out and fell backwards. Yup. Bianchi.
Tsuna, Yamamoto, Ryohei, and the girls were there as well. Tsuna obviously the one flailing most at the circumstance.
"B-Bianchi! The goggles!"
"Oops, I'll put those on right now." She stated rather airily, obviously not bothered with her brother's condition.

He went down on his knees, next to his boyfriend and gave a fake-smile at the group.
"A bit too late, but it's still something that would be really helpful."
He looked everyone over, trying to figure out what was even going on in this little get-together while he waited for Hayato to wake up.
no subject
Luckily, it only takes a few drips of water on his face to get him to start coming to again. Unlike some of his worse bouts that kept him out for a few hours. He sputters and grunted a bit, displeased by the water in his face, but at least he was awake.
Bianchi takes a few steps forward and smiles at the boys, pleased by their arrival.
"You arrived just in time. I was planning to bring the girls up to walk around for a while. We were planning to visit the school and some familiar places around the town."
Gokudera blinked a bit in surprise... they were going to the surface? Well that was a pleasant surprise. He fought the dizziness to prop himself up on his elbows and look up to Ryuutaro.
"I can take you to my apartment..." He paused to look at Bianchi, "Erm... if I still live there...?"
She chuckled and nodded, "You do, but it'll be a bit different from how you know it."
no subject
And seeing Hayato's apartment was another big plus. Even if this was the future, it was closest he ever would've gotten to finally comprehending how Hayato had lived before the Manor.
He smiled, suddenly seeming even more fine with the world than before, almost a bit happy.
"Well, that will be interesting for the both of us then, won't it?"
Future Hayato's apartement... It'd give him a feeling of how Hayato would turn to be after all this was over... it might even be a tad more exiting than the usual one. Ryuutaro was so deprived of fortune-telling, anything future just exited him.
no subject
"Let's go then."
And with that Bianchi lead the group up and out of the base, and started walking towards the highschool.
no subject
He held himself close to Hayato as he looked around the city once again, this time with considerably more calm and attention than the last short time they'd been up here.
It really wasn't so much difference from his world after all, if he disregarded the lack of beyblades, but by now he was used to that.
But then again what he saw here didn't matter as much as what he had witnessed earlier. The nature of a world was underneath what meets the eye. But Ryuutaro didn't want to reduce the place to mafia business either, that would've killed him.
no subject
Hayato had to pull away though, once they reached the school, but he was still beaming a great big smile of his own now. As much as school bored him to death, just the familiarity of the building was enough to put him more at ease. They walked past the playground of the adjacent preschool, and Gokudera beamed when he saw it... scorch marks still on the ground...
"Hey look they finished rebuildin' it!"
no subject
His curiosity was growing about this, though the concept of public schools still seemed almost weird to him (even though they did exist in his world just fine).
Once again he just pictured Hayato in this place, in the everyday life he used to have before they met, staying silent over all these thoughts for the moment being.
no subject
"Y-yeah... scorch marks are still there though..."
Hayato rubbed the back of his neck nervously, and chuckled a bit before the group moved to go inside. They walked through the halls peeking in classroom, laughing and joking and telling stupid school stories, until they found their homeroom.
They wandered inside, taking seats at there old desks. Hayato finds his desk by the front of the room and takes a seat, swinging his leg up onto the desk.
Yamamoto got comfortable slouched over on his desk, and chuckled a bit, "From this angle the teacher never noticed if I fell wanted to nap!"
Gokudera scoffed, "Tch, didn't matter if I were tired or not, I'd fall asleep as soon as the teacher hit me."
no subject
Sure, it was an awkward feeling, but it was an appreciated insight in what kind of daily life Hayato had come from. It had always been so much trouble to imagine, with places and people he did not know and could not imagine up either.
This made it easier.
Ryuutaro found himself thinking back to their time in his world. Hayato had probably had a similar ghost-like feeling at the get-togethers. Even if they belonged with each other, they really didn't belong into each other's worlds. Not until now, at least.
Ryuutaro had thankfully stopped really identifying the dimension he came from as his world... it made it at least a tiny bit easier to think about settling here.
He wondered if he would be expected to go to this school as well. An odd thought. But then again, this world did not have records about him, so how would they know? Truth was... Ryuutaro just had no clue how a school system worked.
So he just watched the others, smiling vacantly to himself.
no subject
Though it didn't take long for Gokudera to notice his boyfriend's absence, and quickly gestured him over to join them. Even if he wasn't there to experience the stories first hand, Ryuutaro was his family, so these stories were for him too.
no subject
When he reached the group, he leaned against a wall, fan half-opened in his hand. While he didn't use the item a lot around Hayato anymore (it was just so impractical, he needed his hands then... walking around holding hands and needing another to open doors or carry something that already made for difficulties after all), he would always make sure to use it a lot when around others as well. It was a part of him, a part of his personality that he needed to make sure to come accross just right.
Hayato knew him anyway and beyond the boundaries of what he'd usually let people see, so with him... he could put the fan aside and only use it when it came natural and he felt like it.
... fanshushes tended to be needed one time or another after allRyuutaro still did not take part in the conversation though, not because he would be too awkward doing so, but because what he wanted was listening. Listening and looking pretty seemed like the perfect strategy right now. ... admittedly he tended to be better at the later and problematic with the first.
no subject
Though, once they're out in front of the school, Hayato decides it would be a good point to separate from the group.
"Hey boss, would it be alright if Ryuutaro and I went to my apartment instead?" Since he couldn't give too much of a crap about Haru's house.
Tsuna turned around, slightly weirded out by the fact that Gokudera felt the need to ask his permission for that.... but then again... he was sort of used to it, "Th-that's fine Gokudera-kun... Y-you don't need to ask..."
Gokudera just beamed in response and grabbed Ryuutaro's hand, and giving an enthusiastic wave in Tsuna's direction, started to head down a different street.
"Thanks boss!"
The group just waved back...
Tsuna silently wondering why he was being thanked... it was almost like he was Gokudera's mom...
no subject
But he was in a forgiving mood, so he let the thought go after a moment.
"I must admit, I'm really curious now. But then again, I suppose so are you?"
It was ten years in the future after all. And Hayato was less used to seeing the future than Ryuutaro was. Granted this was completely different. A too far-away future... and actually being in it.
no subject
He took a deep breath and looked ahead, tightening his grip on his boyfriend's hand. The apartment was only a few blocks away, and the closer they got the quicker Hayato's pace got until they arrived right in front of the door. As a habit, Gokudera looked under his rug for his spare key, as he had when the Author put a look-alike of his apartment in Ryuutaro's world, and low and behold, the key to the front door. He looked a bit nervous... but also rather excited. He put the key in the door and unlocked it, but before he opened it he looked at Ryuutaro still smiling.
"Welcome home, Tesoro."
And he pushed open the door to reveal.... a surprisingly nice apartment. It was obvious it had once been that rather dumpy apartment he was living in. The rooms were more-or-less the same size, but it had been completely renovated into a unique mix of western and Japanese furniture. It wasn't excessive in any way, but it was quite nice.
Gokudera's jaw completely dropped when he saw it.
"Th-this ain't what it looked like when I left home..."
...granted this was ten years in the future but still, it was a large overhaul of his apartment...
